Finger warm-up
Two warm-up tabs. The first walks frets 5-6-7-8 up every string from string 1 to string 6; the second plays the same notes with a string-skipping order. All sixteenth notes — start slow with a metronome.
Frets 5-6-7-8 on string 1, then string 2, all the way to string 6. Index, middle, ring, pinky — one finger per fret.
Same 5-6-7-8, but the string order becomes 1 → 3 → 2 → 4 → 3 → 5 → 4 → 6 — trains your accuracy when crossing strings.
One finger per fret. Index on 5, middle on 6, ring on 7, pinky on 8 — each finger owns one fret, no shifting.
Alternate pick. Down-up-down-up with the metronome, one sixteenth note per fret. Keep the hands locked together.
Build speed slowly. Start at a tempo you can play cleanly, add 5 BPM once it's solid. Clean beats fast.
